There isn't a simple answer to removing facial hair.

Facial hair on girls comes about in the same way as on boys because of

1) your body being sensitized, before you were even born, to testosterone -- doesn't happen to all girls, but does to many

2) your body producing high levels of testosterone

The growth rate and coarseness of the hair depends on just how much testosterone is circulating in your bloodstream.

As far as removing it is concerned it's worth remembering that

* Waxing, plucking, threading, epilating all pull the hair out by the roots and where the growth is hormonally-driven can actually stimulate a dormant follicle into producing more hair quicker. They also distort the root if done repeatedly, leading to hair growing at strange angles. And you've got to let the hair grow to quite a length before you can repeat the exercise. It can also, as you've mentioned, damage the skin and discolor it.

* Chemical depilatories strong enough to remove the hair are very likely to burn the skin, cause swelling and cause long-term discoloration of the skin.

* Laser is also liable to cause burning and discoloration.

* Electrolysis is very liable to cause scarring and discoloration of the skin.

Which, like it or not, leaves shaving which does not damage the skin. Best done with a men's-style electric razor, the best of which, for women, are probably those from the men's range of Norelco razors (Philishave outside the US). But be sure and trim the hair to skin level before using any men's-type electric razor.

Waxing not only gives you red red skin it can also cause ingrown hairs. The best thing that has worked for me is a kind of threading using eze-tweeze. It's much less painful than any other method I have tried and much cheaper and it pulls the hair out from the root just like waxing. All the best

I wax .. and it's great. i havn't noticed any color change.. and if there is.. cover it with make up or something.. surely that is better than having a mustache

i use Nads facial wand (i recommend it)

the only thing is... when it's been waxed.. careful not too touch it all the time lol.. you know, to feel how smooth it is..
cos it will give you zits

And also careful not to accidently wax a bit of your lip - PAINFUL!

Lol other than that - go for it

I use wax strips.I cut a strip off, say a cm wide, then just warm between hands, stick on musshy, rip off against direction of hair growth, and voila! Your lip may be red for an hour, but it soon goes down, and its the best way to keep lip hair at bay.

It is perfect, I used to bleach mine but from I have started waxing I would not go back. Also the more you wax the thinner the hair gets.

its a really good way of getting rid of unwanted hair and there will only be a little redness for about 20 mins after but no brighter areas

maybe a little brighter but it doesn't matter.I wax it and i feel good after that because I know that I am smooth and silky on that place:)Some of my friends pluck them(but that is just too much work)and some of them use creams but I don't recommend you to use them because after that the hair is very much darker and it doesn't look very good.I think you should wax them.

No it won't. Waxing is great and the more you have it done the less the hair grows back!
