And if so, what kind? I believe that God has a rather dark sense of humor, looking at the sorry state the world is in now...

I wrote something before about this thing lacking in all religions. The bible never gave instances of Jesus laughing and expressing joy, its so deadly serious all the time. He very probably did laugh, but I can't help thinking it would be better and add greatly to his message of love if there had been instances where this was recorded. Laughing and fun is a big part of a loving and joyful heart. The koran is the same and the Talmud, deadly serious
The eastern religions are a bit better, I can imagine a laughing joyful buddha more than a laughing joyful christ or mohammed.

Now, now, let us not get all serious about God's sense of humor. Obviously, anyone who knows God knows that we were created in His image, male and female, so of course He also HAS a sense of humor, since He gave US a sense of humor. I'd like to think He has a well adjusted normal sense of humor like most folks, at least the God of my understanding does. I'm sure He has the capacity, like most do, to understand anyone's sense of humor. But as for the sense of humor that He subscribes to Himself? Well, now that is another story. I'm sure God must have temporarily lost His sense of humor when they crucified His only Son that He had given to a world He loved so much. Good thing Jesus came back from the dead and went to heaven. I hope He and God have a sense of humor when Jesus returns. Let me answer the last part of your question with a question: Don't you think the world is in a such a sorry state of affairs because we crucified His Son, the savior of the world; among other bad things that have happened on this planet? Just something to think about. This doesn't necessarily mean that we're suffering punishment from God. It could just mean that God and/or Jesus just aren't here now. Why would they be if we're just going to allow them to be crucified? Or it could mean that , what a lot of Christians believe, that physically here or not, God and Jesus are with us always, however, it is up to us all to believe and act appropriately.
Actually, I saw God and His son Jesus on cable's Comedy Central channel the other night. Kathy Griffin goes up to Jesus and exclaims, I have found my gay!!!!!!! To this Jesus says,"Hey, just because all my apostles are men doesn't meam I'm gay, it just means all women (except my mom) are all wacko like you! And no, I wasn't fooling around with St John!!!" The audience loved it! But then they started booing Kathy, to which Jesus retorted, "Hey, let those who have no sense of humor cast the first heckle." I couldn't believe I saw that!!!!

I think the Goddess is always laughing at man. The other beings on earth are getting a good laugh too.
I'm sure she has a dark sense of humor. It's like watching "Worlds funniest videos" or similar. Perhaps even the old slapstick comedies.

Peace!
Jesus who is the second person in the Holy Trinity must have laughed and joked a lot when he was here on earth. Places he might have done this was at the wedding in Cana and dinner invitations he accepted. He was also accused of eating and drinking with tax collectors and sinners so he must have laughed and joked a lot.
In our dining room is a painting of a laughing Christ instead of the traditional Last Supper painting. I placed it there because I like our family dinners to be informal and festive.
God bless!

Yes, God laughs (Psalm 2:4, Proverbs 1:26). He laughs at the calamity of sinners who reject Him (Psalm 2:1-4, Proverbs 1:20-31).
The world is in a sorry state of affairs because it has rejected God and His ways through His Son the Lord Jesus Christ.
Psalm 2:1-4 (KJV)
1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
Proverb 1:7,20-31 (KJV) [Wisdom personifies the Lord.]
7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
20 Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:
21 She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,
22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:
30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.
31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.

Listen, God CREATED humour ok! So of course He has one Himself.
However, you wouldnt know that because you do not know God.
And the sorry state of the world is because you chose to reject Him. Your choice.
