I'm already in my goal weight, 100 pounds. I'm 5"4 and I eat about 1000 calories everyday. I want to stop dieting and start eating more (I'm not going to pig-out or anything), because before I started dieting I used to eat 1500-2000 calories a day. How can I make my metabolism as fast as that again? (w/ no exercise, just naturally burning calories metabolism)

Will this work? What if I eat 1200-1300 calories every other day, will that make my metabolism faster, and thus get used to burning more? How about three times a week? Will that help?

Please don't tell me there's no way out and that I'll end up gaining weight. I know there's a way out this, I just know there is, because I know someone that at a point in summer, she started eating a lot and gained weight, and then she hardly ate anything and got thin again, but now she eats whatever she wants and she hasn't gained weight.

The difference is that I actually exercised and ate food to lose weight, while in her position she didn't exercise, and didn't eat a lot and lost weight. So if now she can eat whatever, I suppose that there's a safe way to start increasing my metabolism again, right? Because if she did it, then wouldn't I be able to do it, too? More for me, since my diet and exercise plan is way more healthy than hers.

When you don't eat your metabolism slows. So eat more often. Protein and complex carbs every 3 hours or so. Eat less more often. Drink more water. This also helps increase metabolism.
Eat more fiber. This also helps. Exercise helps. So,
eat less more often and eat more fiber, drink more water, get out and walk every day. This should help you maintain.

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span.

If u increase ur muscle mass, ur metabolic rate will go up. Similarly by taking exercises, ur metabolic rate will go up.

Breakfast!! In order to increase your metabolism, you have to "stoke the fire" as early as possible in the day. Even if it's just a slice of cheese. Your body Will adjust to not eating so starving yourself all day is not the answer. We went to FitSmart for Kids for my son last year. One of the nutritionists we had was an advisor for a sumo wrestling team and one of her patients was having trouble gaining any more weight. She told him to cut out breakfast and eat more later in the day. Sure enough, he packed on the pounds.

Hello, namesake!
Why don't you just ask That girl who was able to eat many and do little?
If that would be so simple - people would't go on a diet. There are lot's of medicines that promise us to boost metabolism but in several days there appear that they influence our health badly. Think about it...

The key mistake you are making is: you think that because she did it you can do it.

In order for this to be true, you guys should have the same body type.

Your friend sounds like she is an ectomorph. Unless you are one, you can't do what she did.

Most people can't, for example, put on muscle WHILE losing fat. Ectomorphs can. The fact they can doesn't mean everybody is an ectomorph.

I hope it's a clear explanation.

You have to eat right for your metabolic type.
Find out if you are a protein, carb. or mixed type and eat accordingly to that type.

Walking is good for your matabolism. you could get one of those in house walking work out tapes. if you do something on a daily basis, your matabolism will continue to work. Also keep eating fruits, grapefruits are good for your matabolism as well.
