I agree, good luck. The cost is in the cutting and installing, though, not the rock. Your best bet is a stone place that employs its own installers, and a smaller one, at that. Some of the middleman markup is eliminated. Don't go to Home Depot. They are sloppy about who they contract, and out here in Chicago, just under $60, anyway.
