HOW YOUR BODY WORKS- IT BURNS CARBS THE EASIEST, SO WHEN YOU EAT FOOD WITH CARBS AND FATS AND PROTEINS(ANY FOOD) THE CARBS BECOME ENERGY FASTER THAN THE FATS AND PROTEINS. SO YOUR BODY GETS ENOUGH ENERGY FROM THE CARBS AND DOESN'T HAVE TO BURN THE FATS. AND THE FATS ARE STORED IN YOUR BODY AND YOU GAIN WEIGHT. IF YOU EAT FATS AND PROTEINS, YOUR BODY HAS NO CHOICE BUT TO START BURNING THE FATS AND USE THEM FOR THE ENERGY IT NEEDS TO WORK. THE PROTEINS IT USES FOR THE MUSCLE FOOD.
THE SAME HAPPENS IF YOU EAT MOSTLY CARBS- YOU BURN THEM EASIER, AND YOU CAN ALSO LOSE WEIGHT. BUT THEN YOU HAVE TO EAT 90%CARBS.

Some people are simply too lazy to do the research and figure out what foods are healthy for them, so they'll leech onto whatever fad is hot at the moment. Also, a lot of misguided people think that food alone (without exercise) will help them loose weight and stay in shape.

Because people are stupid.

You need carbs, and they are nothing to fear. The carb-fad is exactly like the "fat makes you fat" trend of the late 80's. Perhaps it's the wide-spread ignorance which is why so many people can't reach their health and fitness goals.

Don't buy into it. Eat healthy, and in smaller portions to lose weight

well, good for your brother - he had high metabolism and probably ate good carbs. usually people eat bad carbs - like french fries or choclad bars or chips. those re not good carbs, so u should say no to those carbs. bread, potato, rice, vegetables and fruits re good carbs - they re the sourse of vitamins, macroelements and energy. say yes to them

I didn't like the diet at all. It gace me bad breath and as soon as I went back to eating normally, all the weight came back.

It's just a way to get people to buy high dollar food items.

Good luck!
