can someone has personality disorder after breaking up from a bad relationship ...? and even sometimes be very selective and avoid people for a while ...? will that person heal after a while ?

Yes you can have personlity disorder after a brakeup. Yes it is only natural to be selective- you have been hurt in the past, you are trying to be extra careful because you don't want to be hurt again. Yes you will heel after some time.

it is quite possible for a person to have a personality disorder after a breakup.reason being that the trauma that the person has undergone could have been so extensive which leads to a personality disorder.u may find that an extrovert would all of a sudden bcome very reclusive and not want to interact with others,keep to himself all the time etc...well healing is a natural process and depending on the extent of the trauma,recovery could take a while.

That wouldn't be a personality disorder. Personality disorders are a pervasive pattern of inflexible thinking and behavior which can be traced back to childhood and establish themselves as a person becomes an adult. They can't just simply come out after a bad experience.

What you are explaining sounds more like symptoms of depression. Typically people do heal pretty well after awhile.
