Since the religious take every opportunity to discredit science, and they choose to believe unbielevable stuff....should they benefit from what science has to offer? Should they be allowed in hospitals for example? If god is looking after them...they shouldn't need medecine. I know it's daft....but that bugs me.

Good point!
If Christians and Muslims would follow their religious texts and have the church settle their disputes, we could free up the courts too!
Then there's the rapture fanatics. Should they really be in publc service jobs? If they plan on just disappearing some day, do we really want them flying passengers on airlines, driving busses, trains, or performing surgery in hospitals when they all decide to vanish???

I never heard of anyone trying to discredit science. The Bible is only sustaining creationism as opposed to evolutionarism, and this does not mean discrediting science.
All religious people (me included) are aware that there are laws in nature, and guess what, these laws are called science.
My advice to you is to go and get informed before asking questions which have no real fundaments

It is those who follow science who choose to believe the unbelieveable stuff. At one time, scientists thought the Earth was flat, and persecuted anyone who said otherwise. And scientists once thought the sun revolved around the Earth.
And now scientists embrace the unproven theory of evolution, voodoo science at best.

Check out Christian Scientists (not to be confused with Scientologists). They believe that illness is representative of sin and therefore through prayer and affirmations, you can heal yourself. Now that is out there! Many won't consult professional medical practitioners and their church has their own practitioners that will pray for you to rid you of sin.

Good question. It reminds me of the dilemma that must face the animal-rights folks: They don't want animal research but never hesitate to take advantage of the medical advances which were found through animal testing. Bugs me too.

This is a fair point that you have made. I agree in a way, but its just faith at the end of the day, right?

Just because a christain belives in God dose not mean they will not get sick, God gave men the knowledge to be doctors and even in old testament there were healers..
we can not expect that if we are christains that life is going to be a bed of roses.. we must experice all the things that life has to offer, even the bad things, BUT in those bad times, WE still can praise God , and thats what it means to be a christain.

Some don't. Jehova witnesses for example sometime let their children die by refusing some efficient and needed medical treatment out of superstition.

Hello Stef.. :)
I do not discredit Science..for the Bible speaks of Science..
It is Science that is falsely called..that I do not agree in..
As for medicine..
Jesus Himself says:
Matthew 6
12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
==============================================
Luke was the Beloved Physician.. :)
In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ.. :)
