We should not argue. We as born again Christians need to state the truth and leave it at that. Please remember too, that a born again Christian will show the fruits of the Holy Spirit and their actions should reflect these: love, patience, peace, kindness, meekness, self control and gentleness.

Arguing over who is Right and who isn't, is stupid. I don't see any side gaining anything from these arguments... and the people who argue constantly about it usually end up bitter assholes. So it's a losing battle all around. But I doubt people are just going to stop arguing and accept the fact that no one can prove their Gods even exist and other people have a different opinion about what it is... even if they think it's all fantasy. :)

It is foolish to fight over religion because:

1. All religions are man-made attempts to explain what we call God (or the gods).
2. Being man-made institutions, they are all flawed:
a) They each claim to have the real Truth about what cannot be defined;
b) They all contradict each other;
c) The followers of different religions use their sacred books to claim the
truth of their religion against other religions; but all these books are
written by people--not by God--and are therefore imperfect. You can't
say logically, "It's true because it's in the Bible" (for example), since the
Bible contradicts itself all over the place--AND people of different
Christian faiths PICK AND CHOOSE WHAT THEY WANT TO FOLLOW.
It comes down to: What I say is holy is holy!

Sadly, in this age of science, even very educated people are willing to accept on faith what some person long ago proclaimed as true. Yet, these same educated people look for proof and evidence in all other areas of their lives--but not when it comes to religion. It is as though their thought processes are switched off and they are cruising on blind faith.

So, when people fight over religion, wage wars over religion, kill each other over religion, hate each other over religion, I feel so sad inside, and I see also in history that more wars have come about over religion than anything else except for greed. It does not make sense.

Do I believe in God? Yes, I do, but I make a distinction between being spiritual and being religious. A religious person belongs to a sect of one kind or other and goes along with the teachings and rules of that faith. A spiritual person does not have to belong to a religious group. In fact, not all people who belong to religions are spiritual. Yet some of the most spiritual people in the world don't follow any religion, but listen to the Silence within themselves.

I hope this helps you.

It is stupid to fight over religion. Every man is free to believe whatever he wants as long as he doesn't offend the others with his actions. For example, you can be a muslim, but this shouldn't give you the right to desacrate a christian church. Or you can be a christian, but this isn't reason enough for you to set fire to witches, who simply have a different belief.
People should be accepted as they are, because all is relative. Except for morality, which shouldn't be.

I belive it is stupid. Religion is the cause of war and therefore ppl should be allowed to believe what they want, rather than judging or being judged. Unfortunately mainstream religions, don't allow ppl to think for themselves, they instead encourage conformity their ways and therfore nothing will ever change.

Personally, I'm all for religious wars. As an atheist, I welcome anything that will thin out the ranks of people stupid enough to believe that their invisible friend is worth dying for.

Besides, if they truly believe that they'll go to heaven because they got killed "defending the faith", then they think they'll get something out of it as well.

I call this a "win/win situation".

I'm pretty sure that the more reasonable people of faith would breathe easier if their more fanatical brothers and sisters martyred themselves for their varied and sundry sky-fairies too.

Imagine two enormous factions of people arguing and killing each other over this :

"Superman is better than Batman! He is the only superhero!"

"No, Spiderman is the only superhero! He loves us all, and is misunderstood!"

"No, I only serve Aquaman! I will kill all infidels who do not accept him as the only hero!!!"

Now, change any of the names of the fictional characters I just listed to the deities of your choice.

Seems pretty silly, does it not?

I should say it the meanest and worst activities of mankind to fight for religion. because religion is something personal and no one knows about the root and source.
religion is there to be kind and understand each other not to prove that mine is right and your is wrong.

i try my best not to argue with another over religious beliefs. i will reach out to another man a few times and if it is made clear to me that he has no interest in my beliefs i will dust my feet off and walk away.
