I am a single mum and I don't get out much, how do I meet new people? I don't have a lot of confidence and get very nervous around people, are there any particular places that are best for meeting new friends and potential life partners?

First of all you have to do something about your confidence! If you can't be confident then it will be very very hard for others to get to know you! Do something that will make you feel confident. Get a manicure, get a new hairstyle, buy new clothes that compliment you! Whatever you feel comfortable with. My advice to you is to never try to meet someone online. Those things rarely work out! How old are your kids? Are they in any sports? Going to their sport games is always a good place to meet other moms and possible single fathers. You can meet new people anywhere; your local coffee shop, the supermarket, etc. It's just about being confident in yourself. That's what I think. Hope this helps and good luck with everything.

Some towns have a singel parents club.
Just be yourslef, and you can try to go to local hang outs with a friend or something.
What ever you do be your self.
