Now that the UN peace-keeping force, and the US Air Force are in the same place at the same time (Sudan), how long will it be before the drugged (confessions) and gung-ho (public opinion) Americans start shooting at the people in the blue hats?

I think the American administration realises just how much cr*p they are currently in being bogged down as they are in Iraq at the moment. I think it unlikely that they want to give themselves further trouble through another armed conflict with the potential for even more American soldier's deaths. You would hope so anyway but you never can tell......

since the majority of UN troops are US soldiers around the world it would make no sense.
