Is it odd to know you dont want to ever be married or have children?
I just want to travel, write, have friends and lovers, and explore the many walks of life and not be tied down or held back with children or a husband. I don't want to limit myself, I guess. Is this extremely selfish?

nope it isnt selfish.maybe you are just worried about commiting and having to adjust to the environment around you once you get married - coz marriage means sharing,making it a 2 way relationship etc.well it seems to me that you still want to do lots in life,build a career,have more friends etc,that isnt wrong.just take things with the flow,and besides once you are in love and sure that a particular guy is the right one for you then im sure you will have no worries getting hitched....

No. Marriage and kids are not for some people. I feel the same way and so does my b/f who I have been dating for 4 years. Just be up front with the people you date about those things. It wouldn't be fair to a person who wants kids/marriage to get deeply involved with you and invest time into the relationship and then find out how you really feel.

no, there's nothing wrong with you. i don't want to be neither married or have a children as well. however, maybe someday... who knows. as like the others have said, maybe you haven't met the right person who'll turn your life upside down. that's what i think also. don't worry hun, it's normal.

I Would say you are to young to say them kind of things right now.
go and enjoy yourself don't have to think about them aspects of life yet,
also take care of yourself there are a lot of people that will take advantage of your attitude.
