I know I can't cheer you up, but I know what will--when you go to pick her up and she's so exited to see you!!!

Keep your chin up, you'll see her soon--she's having fun, I promise!

Yes its normal.

think of the freinds she will make, often for life.
Think of the art work she'll bring home.

Do something for your self. Have a quiet cuppa, do some yoga, go for a swim, do a subject at the local TAFE college or neighbourhood house. Run one yourself. Many people would be keen to aquire skills such as basic computing, basic English, or something YOU are skilled at.

I started writing when My children went to creche. I still write and find it satisfying.

Cheer yourself up by decorating a fairly good sized box to keep her creations in. Nursery school kids make all sorts of wonderful things with their hand prints and such. Get your box ready and anticipate all her goodies. That's what I did.

Now, my 4 year old has decided she wants to try and start sleeping in her big bed instead of with mom and dad... we're having a hard time sleeping without her! It's great that they are growing up, but sad at the same time.

She will be fine, honestly. My daughter is 9 now and at school and I still miss her most days.
The most advanced (emotionally/socially and academically) children in my daughter's class are those that went to nursery.
Just enjoy your quality time with her when you get it. Live each day like it's your last.
How lovely to read this question, you obviously care very much and that's refreshing. Good luck. Just think towards bath time tonight and what fun you can both have.

Oh hon just think about how much fun she is having meeting new friends and do new and interesting things. Nursery is supposed to be non guilt Mom time so enjoy it! Its only for a few hours and your little sweetie will be home and telling you all about it.

Oh, I remember the first day. It's more heart breaking for the moms and dads then it is the child. Know that this is just one of many milestones in your childs life, and she is having a great day. I know you miss her, but it will get easier. To keep busy, why not start a scrapbook. Putting pictures together might bring a smile to your face. But trust me, as the days go on, it will get easier on you, and once she starts going on and on about what she has been learning in school, you will be happy to she how much she is learning, and how she is. :)

Your daughter is entering a whole new world now & will really enjoy the new social independence she will get away from you. It will also be a very stimulating environment where whe will grow & blossom & learn new things every day. What's more, when you see her after you will love & appreciate her soooo much that your own relationship with her will be enriched. Well done!

I was a wreck when my two started. I was in the bathroom in tears. It's so good for her though. She'll make friends, learn social skills, be able to make as much mess as she likes and of course she'll be looking forward to telling mummy all about her day when she gets home. Be excited for her! In the meantime, have a good cry if you need to. Hope you're ok x
