Yes, if you buy a copy of XP Home or Pro, that hasn't been sitting on a store shelf for 3 years, it should already have SP2 integrated. Look here:

All you need to do is put the CD in and boot up your computer. The install CD is bootable. It will walk you through formatting your hard drive and such. It's pretty straight forward.

As far as making a bootable flash drive goes, that is better left for another question, as it isn't always an easy thing to do. Some flash drives are bootable, some aren't, depends on the drive. Some drives need to be done a certain way to make them bootable, and some can simply be formatted to be bootable with windows disk manager. It is a big topic. Google ISO images for flash drives. That might help.

simple. Windows XP with SP2 is available. Its upto you to source it.. buy it or find a pirated one. It comes with SP2 integrated with the basic OS itself. Its a Bootable CD (around 650Mb). Jus run your cd while booting, make sure your cd-rom is the first boot device, once it recognizes your cd, it will prompt you to click any key to run the OS. Follow the instructions.. in 1 -2 mins it will get you an option for choosing the partition to install, whether you need to format it with NTFS or FAT.. its easy. Good luck.

WHACKO config you're working with there my man. Yes, you an get XP SP2. Tiger Direct sells it. You can probably get a copy on ebay too.

Just get the XP SP2 CD and you can format then. I've not heard of a bootable USB drive yet, though I am certain it could be done with some slick BIOS level programming.
