Actually true christians didn't. for instance. The christians in the Bible were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Following the Apostle Doctrine and teaching Acts 2:42, Acts 2:38, Acts 4:12, Acts 8:16; Acts 19:1-6 (vs 5,6), Matt 28:19,20(in the one singular name of the Father ,Son of the Holy Ghost) which is the name of Jesus(Isa.9:6) (Matt.1:23,25)(Rev.1:8), The mode of baptism was changed in the Council Of Nicea 325 AD by Constantine from Baptism in Jesus name , to baptism in the titles "Father ,Son ,HOLY Ghost" if you try to cast out a devil with just the titles you will fail. but in the name of the Almighty Jesus in faith it will happen. So those of Catholic or Constaninial baptismal lineage are the "Christians" that killed those people, and killed many that were baptized in Jesus name for the remission of their sins.. LOOK all this up in the Catholic Encyclopedia, ect. and History books.

Yep. That Christianity is responsible for The Crusades and the Inquisition as well as random forced conversions, beatings and torture throughout its existence is historical fact. Look it up.

A Christian is someone who tries to live their life the way Jesus lived while He was here on earth.
Jesus never killed anyone.

I think this has been established and stands as proof that of all the animals only man is stupid enough to kill his own kind.
this one of the major reasons you find atheists talking to christians in this venue of YA.
peace out

unfortunately yes. however, our religeon is not what is to blame, it is the people. we are taught to love our enemies and to spread peace. some people just aren't capable of living that, and used christianity as a cover for their evil works. our church may be right, but that doesn't mean the people always are.

So if the pope didn't speak out against the crusades, that means he wasn't a true christian, right?
