There are *tons* of cats that are in Key West. Many are decedents of Hemmingway's cat. The cats that wonder off of the Hemmingway estate are fed by locals. The cats on Hemmingway's estate are cared for by the staff of the estate. Funds for the cats' care are provided by the fee of the tour of the estate (15-20$ a person) Most of the cats on the estate are neutered to prevent further overpopulation.
