Jesus was openly gay and enjoyed it. At that time no one thought anything special about alternative life styles.
Homophobia is quite recent. Some homophobes religious fanatics therefore try to find gay bashing parts in the Bible but there are none. It's the interpretation done today by these fanatics that is homophobic. The writers of the bible certainly were not. It just was not done at that time.

I believe the only clear reference to homosexual women in the bible is Romans 1:26-28
1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Which the best I can surmise in my own unprofessional opinion is that it most calls lesbians going against the natural order. The verse for gay men however is much more clear and straightforward. It's found in Leviticus.
18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
I would figure that a similar verse just as straightforward as that would be present. IE 'woman shall not lie with woman'. But The only references to women around 18:22 are about bestiality. Most are rules specifically for men to follow by.
I can only assume that sex between women to be inferred from the general standpoint of homosexuality in the bible. Or that it is an act which isn't treated with such animosity. Heh, but our current society already reflects this. Two gay men are frowned upon and seen as disgusting. But if there are two lesbians, a good portion of men are racing for a video camera.

When the Bible says man/men it does not exclude women it simply means human beings. A woman being with a woman is sexual immorality and therefore not acceptable to God. Those are lustful desires which are spoken of in the new testament.

No I think there is a spot in the bible that discourages women being with women in the New Testament...
God loves all people regardless of sexual preference. I wrestled with it for a while and that was the message God gave to me.

Romans 1:26,27 says "For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.
Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due".
That passage is condemning homosexuality. It's saying that God gave up on them and just let them go their own immoral way. It clearly condemns both male and female homosexuality.

i've heard that jesus himself prohibits divorce in several places in the NT.
but, christians have all but institutionalized divorce, ignoring their cult savior. so, go figure!!! you shoudl see all the stuff in the bible they ignore. bot WHOA!! gotta interpret a couple thing as anti-gay, and we MUST FOLLOW THOSE. right? ignore everything else, but make sure we don't do gay stuff!!
what nonsense and hypocrisy. it's all about hate to them, nothing else.
1COR 14:34-35 tells women to shut thir yaps in church. do they all follow that? do any of them??

it's true. see, men who sleep with men don't contribute to tribe size, but women are all owned by men; even if two have sex, there are still men who will take care of impregnating them, so there's no reason to forbid it.
the bible is only concerned with maximizing tribe size.

Romans 1:26-32 mentions both men and women:
"Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the SAME WAY the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion."
"Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them."
