Diamonds are a girl's best friend.
A woman would also love to get some kind of flowers, if it's roses, tulips, orchids, calla lilies....doesn't matter
A thoughtful card is a great gift, too.
I love chocolate but i do not want to get chocolate for Valentine's Day.
Last year i got a beautiful diamond necklace from Zales. I absolutely love it and i wear it everyday.

On this day it is the men who do most of the giving but time have changed, girls do work and have independent resources.
From men to girl most given item is Red Roses. Rose prices jump up good 3 folds. If they are not ordered ahead of time then they need to be replace by other flowers like carnation.
I think you a are girl, so it is up to you, you can keep some things that you can reciprocate. Tie pin......,or, a tie........personal items like after save.......

You cant go wrong with the classics Godiva chocolate, roses, and dinner. My husband and I don't get each other gifts. Instead we indulge in a very fancy dinner with wine and an out side fire pit that over looks the city is very nice after an elegant dinner.

Something you know the other person will really appreciate, but then again I don't think it should be Valentines Day for that to happen. My b/f and I just cook each other dinner and have a candle-lit bath together
