we exist, girls.. well, i do that.. the thing is, i don't think girls nowadays appreciate it anymore.. they like it, but they don't appreciate those who do it, i think.. i mean, i've been doin it all the time.. out of my conscience n goodwill.. but the truth is, i start feelin like an idiot..cuz no one ever gives a damn.. so maybe that's one reason why there ain't those kinda guys anymore...

Exactly, back in the old days.
These men are either happily retired, in a nursing home or six feet under, and thats the truth. They were raised to treat women
with honor and respect back then..
These older guys were the ones who 'really' knew how to treat a woman, even back when they were young men.
The younger generation of today arn't taught the basics of curtesy
and respect for women, so guess what??
women of today treat men just the way men treat women!
Usually like crap.
And people wonder why devorce is so rampant..

well, my dear, those guys still do exist-- they are just rare and the guys who opened doors and didn't swear in front of women? Some of them were philanderers and murderers (like Ted Bundy) and child abusers.... the Good Ol' Days weren't really the Good Ol' Days. Just live a life of principles (read The Bible and "The 7 Habits" as part of your 2007 plan) and you'll attract a man with high principles. It works.

i'd like to think there are a few of us still out there. i was raised in the south. i'm almost 50 and is still say yes sir, yes mam, etc. i help folks whenever i see they need it whether asked or not. it's the basic rule of treating others like you would like to be treated. not just if you are dating, but in general. i also wonder whether there are any good ladies now a days. not old fashioned, but just a true heart.

It all went pear shape ..when you girls wanted woman liberation..equality..being the same as the man ..to be treated same as a man..
Woman wanted to give up being treated special ..you guys didn't want to be pampered or cared for...
so now ..woman complain if they get treated like the next guy in the street..
I must mention ,you American girls still have some special quality's you haven't given up all your identity yet..you guys still hold some values of being a woman..
Unlike in UK ..most girls there are ..loud mouth mingers ,who lost all control of being a woman ..foul mouth ..lack or respect or courtesy to them selves or to their man..lol

I'm an older Guy. And I still do it. But I thnk, younger Guys, don't have the respect. Either put up with the childish ways. Or try hangin' around someone older.

attempt to no longer swear in front of youngsters yet each and every so often they force you to it ; ) yet right this is a thought my 5yr old nephew speaks Thai besides as English so i don't know what he's asserting to me !

My guy is like that. He rarely swears unless he is SUPER p*ssed off. Holds doors open for me, lets me walk through doors first, unless i insist (like its a place he knows and I don't).
There are men like that out there. You just have to find them.

They died out, because all of the women slept with the disgusting, rude men who treated them like trash, who went on to have boys who turned out to be disgusting and rude.
On a completely unrelated side note, whatever happened to girls who had at least a decent grasp of the English language?

to start off the guy above me, bigguyymike, every girl appreciates guys like that, don't think all girls are looking for disrespectful guys who don't treat women with respect, you shouodln't be givin your email like that if youre truely one of those nice guys.. if you reallyy are, they would come to you..
secondly, i don't mean to sound full of myself or anything, but ive been told im a really nice guy, too nice at times, i do stuff that youre explaining, im 19, i have a wonderful girlfriend, so basically im just tellin you guys like that are still out there, you just have to keep your eyes open, we aren't extinct, its just theres a good portion of guys who are totoal jerks who are disrespectful, cocky, stuck up, slutty, and just aren't good people in general.. so im just tellin you to keep your head up.. youll see em.
