Ask your doctor for minimum time, after that most important is that you feel up to it, like to enjoy it again and can enjoy it and are comfortable devoid of pain, if pains, stop, inform the partner so there is no rejection complex, and allow more time and inform doctor.
We are individuals and medical disciplines have guidelines only for most of this procedures, it is up to us after the guide line.
My guess is 1 wk is not enough, since you mention it. Use the medical guideline as minimum time to avoid complications or infections. Call your doctor, and ask, if your appointment is very far. Write down all questions and ask so you do not forget to ask him.

I have had two laporoscopies, I am very surprised the doctor didn't tell you. I recommend calling your doctor, no offense to anyone else who might answer this but your doctor is the one with all the information about your procedure, background, how well things went and how you are expected to heal. You need to get the answer from the source to be safe.

You should wait until after you go back for your follow up with your D.R. When he can determine your healing is complete. you wouldnt want to complicate things.Best to be patient.
