Talk to him. Make sure that he understands that you want him to quit "for you". Don't threaten, but lead. Tell him that it's stinky, it tastes weird when you kiss him, and that you're worried about his health too.
Sounds weird but it's true. Just about all of my college friends (myself included) have quit, surprisingly, because of girlfriends (fiancees, some). To this day, I'm convinced that the number 1 thing that will stop a man from smoking is a supportive woman.

Smoking is like an addiction and is very hard to quit. If he does quit it's a miracle. So either u put up with it for the rest of ur life or u get a new bf

Nothing you can do... He's an adult, he makes his decisions. You can either accept him, good and bad - or set out looking for a partner who does not smoke. If you date a smoker, this is what you get - a smoker. Date non-smokers, and you will not have this problem.

just be polite and tell him you hate smoking and ask him if he could quit.My husband's a non-smoker and i stopped for him when we started dating.Just remind him that second-hand smoke is more dangerous and he would'nt want you getting ill because of him smoking.

Since he is your boyfriend, you should be able and feel confident enough to discuss the situation with him. If he cares and respects you enough, he should try to work out the problem with you. Also, if he does not want to stop completely, there should always be room for compromise and you both can respect each other's decisions if it works.
