What happened to Aztecs? And can you remember those long paper stripey maypoles full of sherbert, that you had to keep tearing the paper off as you got further down? And can you still get those paper flying saucers? What sweets do you miss?

Texan bar !!!! Hey, I found a fantastic site called www.aquarterof.co.uk they have almost everything. According to them, if they get asked for something and do not have it, they will try their best to track down the recipe and get it made! I asked about the yummy delicious Texan Bar but alas..they say that they have been asked many times but the factory is closed and nobody seems to have the recipe....BLAST! I loved those things. The only trouble with the site is that you add things to your basket every 20 seconds as you keep seeing things that you have forgotten about and that are stored in some strange part of the brain.....I ordered SO much stuff...give it a go.....just have a look....go on....I double dare you!

You can still get Flying Saucers in Topshop, they also have Foam Shrimps, Foam Bananas, Black Jacks and Fruit Salads!

I have not seen White Chocolate Fish and Chips, Gobstoppers, chocolate cigarettes, Chocolate Skeletons with green stuff in them, Candy Necklaces, Milk Teeth, Dibdabs, Lovehearts, Poppets, Refreshers and Pushpops. I miss them all so much!

Also Dolly Mixtures, Fruitella, Bassetts Fruit All Sorts, Foam Mushrooms, Melody Pops(Lollipop whistles) and Edible Paper.

Many of the sweets that were popular when we were young (!) can still be found online at www.bagofsweets.co.uk
I got spanish tobacco, parma violets, fruit salad + blackjack chews, highland toffee bars and cherry lips from there - they do loads of sweets I'd forgotten all about. Bliss! Quick delivery too, which is always good when sweets are involved :-) They do flying saucers and sherbet dibdabs too! Highly recommended

Spangles they were not my favourite, but they lasted a long time also Fry's five boys chocolate bar with moulded pictures of five faces of the same boy labelled with the attitudes of wanting chocolate to having eaten it. Loose sherbet weighed and put in a paper packet. Ip lollies on a stick. Sad woman I am talking about I old penny. One of my favourite bars Mars has been around as long as I can remember.

Spangles! Woolies revived them for a while....I remember Aztec's, Cadbury's version of the Mars Bar. Do you remember the bar called Summit? It came in a red wrapper and had nougat and cherries, covered in caramel, then chocolate.
Pink Panther candy bars, like strawberry chocolate and finally, Space Dust! Crackle on baby!

I haven't seen Fizzies for a while. We used to make "soft drinks" with them back in the 60's, but then they disappeared. I saw them briefly about 20 years ago, and I bought some for nostalgia's sake... but they didn't taste as wonderful as they did when I was 6 years old...

When I was growing up, there was a packet of sweets called Spangles, which were boiled sweets in different colours. I really liked them, and could buy a whole packet for 2p (the new 2p before you ask!!)
