Im looking to get a tattoo of mine fixed. I also want another piercing. Does anyone know an artist in the Michigan area, Ohio even?

Living in the area, I can suggest a few places that myself and friends have gone to.

There are a few Eternal Tattoo parlor shops, while most of the artists are very good, they tend to be a bit more pricey on average but the artists are very friendly and fun. They even have 'free' tattoos at some of the Eternal's, but the catch with that is that the image is absurd and grotesque (my friend got one, its a 3 eyed monkey splooging onto his arm, very very weird...but FREE). They're piercings are fairly priced in my opinion and the main piercer Steph is a wonderful gal.

Another nice place in the Metro-Detroit area is Wicked Tattoos. A more personal favorite of mine because the staff is terrific and the work is great to. A few friends I know swear by Mike's work. Darrel has done one of my tattoos and is a great guy. Plus, they are flexible about pricing from time to time (but for the right people). I don't think they have a piercer at the moment, but you could call and check

My final suggestion to you is Johnson's Tattoo which is 25119 Ecorse Rd in Taylor. I have seen good work come out of that shop as well. They are great with drawing and making original ideas.

You can also go to Detroit Tattoos. Its off of Michigan Ave in a rather shady area, but its a good place.

Of course, if you don't like these suggestions, by all means, do a Google Map search for other tattoo shops near by and go for a visit with the artists who work there to see where you'd like to go. Good luck.

!!! you are in luck! in march there is a convention in michigan. you should definitely try to go to that. there will be a lot of talented artists there for you to chose from, many from out of state even which is not something everybody has access to all of the time. here's a link

the eternal tattoos artists work is amazing! i would try to book an appointment with one of them before the show so you can get time with them at the show if you do decide to go! good luck and let us know how it turns out.
also, someone up there said eternal tattoos seem to be a little more highly priced. but good art isn't cheap and cheap art isn't good. go for quality and you'll be happy for longer. i'm not sure how much they charge but my artist charges $100 an hour.

I've had all my tattoos and piercings done at Ink Fever (formerly Picasso Moon) in Adrian, MI. They've always done a great job on me and the girl who works there is awesome, especially if you want something colorful.
