Most people that pursue money are unhappy. Those people pursue money because they basically feel it's better to be rich and unhappy than poor and unhappy.

Those people believe that money is the answer to their problems ... until they have the money and it doesn't solve their problems. For a fortunate few, there is still time to change direction, but for the majority, it is another lifetime spent in vain.

Money isn't the key, but it is a means for happiness.

If travel makes you happy, and you have no money, you won't be happy will you?

If you are content to be poor it is one thing, but someone can't complain if the activities that make them happy cost money they are unwilling to earn.

Money is a means to happiness, an ingredient, not the whole picture.

Making money is not bad, and desiring to make the most money possible within the limits of morality and the law is perfectly fine, and applauded.

Do you know why Jews were hated in Europe during the Middle Ages? Because the Catholic church forbid people to lend money, and the Jews were the only ones who didn't have any religios doctrine forbidding money lending.

The Jews were successful because they were educated and prosperous.
The Catholic Church hoarded wealth in the Vatican while brainwashing their congregation on the evils of money.

And the Protestant work ethic made this country what it is today. Work, save, and build. Capitalism is a religion in itself, one that fuels America. And you know what, I would rather have that than solcialism that sets limits on what I earn from work.

If you work hard, you deserve money, and you will be happy.

Most people with money already know or will soon find out the fact that money isn't the key to happiness. Some spend their entire lives spending lavishly, trying to fill a void that can never be filled with any amount of riches. There are bills to pay...

1*1*1 = 1, just like Lord my God is One!

Okay.....so if I have a million dollars I am powerful.

If I only have 2 dollars, I am not powerful.

Life is not that simplistic.

Children may believe that money is power....but some adults know that a Big Screen TV and a PlayStation 3, only has power over the child for a time....the novelty will wear out eventually and then comes the search for something bigger and better.

Money = Power
in alot of cases.....

But the first thing that came to mind was that money can bring happiness to an extent, say for instance......only a moderate amount so as to get out of debt, or for the simple yet meaningful things in life, like being able to buy presents for your child's birthday. Just the ability to "take a majority of the stress off" is where my mind is at.

The bottom line, of which you spoke.....YOU ARE RIGHT! Money simply cannot BUY HAPPINESS, or in other words, I prefer to use the words "joy". ....or "peace".......I know by experience, and before I knew by experience, I believed it when the Lord said it in the scriptures.....

Money is the key to happiness when you're living on Earth. Think of all the wonderful things money can get you? Of course it would be the key to happiness, if you've worked many years to receive that PhD and it's finally giving you something in return.

Money
Where do material blessings come from? It's in the Bible, Deuteronomy 8:18 NIV "But remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth."

Can money get in the way of more important things? Wealth can become the center of our life and take God's place. It's in the Bible, Jeremiah 9:23-24, NIV "This is what the Lord says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the Lord."

Wealth can give us wrong attitudes about material things. It's in the Bible, Luke 12:15 NIV "Then [Jesus] said to them, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."

It is unwise to make financial success a priority. It's in the Bible, Matthew 6:24, NIV "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money." I Timothy 6:9, NIV "People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction."

While it is not impossible, it is difficult for the rich to become citizens of God's kingdom. It's in the Bible, Mark 10:23-25, NIV. "Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, 'How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!' The disciples were amazed at His words. But Jesus said again, 'Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.'"

The love of money leads to evil. It's in the Bible, I Timothy 6:10, NIV. "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs."

Contentment is not related to amount of money or possessions. It's in the Bible, Philippians 4:12-13, TLB. "I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of contentment in every situation, whether it be a full stomach or hunger, plenty or want; for I can do everything God asks me to with the help of Christ who gives me the strength and power."

Our interest lie where our money is invested. It's in the Bible, Matthew 6:21, NIV. "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Money makes life easier, money is not evil, it's the love of money that's evil. It's okay to be successful.
