That's a good question.
I don't think Australians ever tried to store their liquor before.

If it is a cream liqueur, you can probably store it for a year. If the bottle makes a glugging sound when you turn it upside down, it's still good. If there's no glugging sound, the cream has curdled.

If it's not a cream liqueur it will probably keep many years.

Contrary to popular belief, liquor doesn't "age" when you keep it for years in a glass bottle. The aging process stops when it is removed from wooden barrels. (Just a bit of trivia there)

I think you may be labouring under a misapprehension - I think the australian liqueur started off bad - you're just delaying the inevitable.

Vodka? Because you can keep Vodka in the freezer forever. It should be fine as long as it's unopened.
