In Christanity (besides things clearly stated to be wrong in the bible) it depends on the person. Say, if I thought that smoking was a sin and I smoked I would be sinning. If My friend didn't think it was and he (or she for you feminest out there) smoked he wouldn't be sinning. I hope that answers your problem.

actaully you hit on 3 asspets of carnal sin. you should not watch for it is lust, you should not assist someone else, because that is immoral, and kind of whacked out, I mean seriously.
you should not read this because it insights impure thoughts and then we are back to that lust thing again.
ultimately you should keep your sex life at home and between you and your other half, otherwise you are falling under the following statute, and please don't blame me for this one, it is really part of a statute.
For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge. as in you have read about unuasual sex acts or the sex life of others. you have seen unusaual sex acts or acts of sex performed by others, and finally you have performed unusual sex acts with another.

Yes, we are temples of God, and anything impure will keep the
Holy Spirit away from us. Sexual thoughts are kept in the brain for more time than any other thoughts.

I'd say it depends on the situation.
I would also say that no matter your religion, it's probably not a good idea to read in a sexual act. I know it would offend me.
