probably because you died it recently and the chlorine changed its color. esp if you have blonde hair that can happen. go to the hair salon and see if they can cover it with another color.

for pity sake, don't go and die your hair another color. Go to a salon, and get some shampoo and cond. from Redken for summer hair. they make shampoos for hair that has been bleached and it takes the "chlorine" out of your hair (green) they also have stuff to put on your hair to keep the chlorine out when your in the hot tub or pool good luck

If you have recently bleached your hair, the chlorine in the hot tub has had a chemical reaction to the bleach. It isn't going to wash out. Your best bet is to put on a hat/scarf and go see your hair stylist. There is a rinse you can buy at Beauty Co., but a friend of mine used it and it turned her hair gray.

This happened to me on the weekend after being in the pool. When tomato sauce didn't work I putconditioner in and then squeezed real lemon juice over it. I left it for 15 min and rinsed out, no more green hair!

The green is due to a combination of chlorine and copper in the water.

Use lemon juice or vinegar to rinse your hair. Look for a commercial shampoo for swimmers, and have your salon adjust the color only if necessary. You can use a deep conditioner to help prevent this in the future.

BAKING SODA mixed with a little shampoo or plain water and make a paste. Massage it into your hair and it will start to neutralize the chemical reaction. You can buy Purifying or (deep cleansing) shampoos to remove any excess build-up of chlorine. (They are meant to be used 1x a week.) In your case keep using until the green fades. ~~All else fails~~It is possible to semi-permanent color over it or strip the green out at the salon as well.
~~Next time...saturate your hair with plain water...B-4 you dip! (hair is like a sponge) then the chlorine can't get into your hair as much!

properly actual do no longer (once you have bleached your hair purchase a kind of hair dye stated as uncooked it quite is not sturdy. additionally in case you do have a washout, wash your hair in chilly water, as this holds the dye in longer.
