This is a Comcast issue, not a TV issue.
Using your remote, navigate the set-top menu and try to find the HD output settings . You may see 480i, 480p, 720p, and 1080i.

You can always call Comcast support.

Ask Comcast if their decoder box supports 1080i. It probably doesn't.
