All believers in the Lord Jesus Christ will rise up into the air. Then those that are left will be destroyed. If you've read or heard anything about a rapture and how people are going to wonder what happened to all those Christians then you've been mislead and you need to get on your knees and pray that you won't be left behind because when the Lord Jesus Christ returns there won't be any tomorrow. He will destroy his enemies with the brightness of his coming. Now is the time to repent of sin and receive him into your heart, before you see people rising to meet their Lord in the air and you're not one of them.

Yes. Actually it is called the Resurrection though. The prophet Isaiah speaks of it:
"but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint."
- Isaiah 40:31
Try looking for the word rapture in the bible, you're not gonna find it cause its not in there....

The questioner is puerile, arrested in early early deprived adolescence. But regarding the so-called "rapture" it's an american some protestant sect idea, never believed by Christians for 1900 years and is in short, a made-up doctrine.

hi gopher_baroque. The word "rapture" isn't got here across interior the Bible. this is a theological time era that describes an adventure cutting-edge in a million Thessalonians 4:sixteen-17: "For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the trump of God: and the ineffective in Christ shall upward thrust first: Then we that are alive and proceed to be would be caught up alongside with them interior the clouds, to fulfill the Lord interior the air: and so we would desire to ever be with the Lord." while Christ returns on the final day, He brings all of people who've died interior the Lord (they who have been stored). those authentic Believers would be of their Spirit or Soul essence. they are going to be reunited with their bodies they left right here in the international. those bodies would be resurrected into Glorified religious bodies. on the comparable time, those authentic Believers who're nevertheless alive while Christ returns will additionally get carry of their new Glorified bodies. this is those authentic Believers who would be "caught up" or "raptured" to be with Christ interior the air. this is what the rapture is. As for the unsaved at the instant, they're going to proceed to be and bypass interior the path of the Judgment of God. All got here across to blame are then solid into Hell. while this is comprehensive, the authentic Believers will stay with God interior the recent Heavens and the recent Earth that God tells of in Revelation 21:a million-3: "Then I observed a clean heaven and a clean earth, for the 1st heaven and the 1st earth had gave up the ghost, and there replaced into now not any sea. 2I observed the Holy city, the recent Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, arranged as a bride fantastically dressed for her husband. 3And I heard a noisy voice from the throne asserting, "Now the residing of God is with men, and he will stay with them. they are going to be his human beings, and God himself would be with them and be their God."

I am a Christian and I have bad news for my brothers and sisters about the rapture. No such thing. Jesus is coming back, but this rapture stuff is useless (unless you are Tim Lahaye's investment banker). We should be concerned about being virtuous while we are here, and leave the end to Him.

I might be mistaken - I don't pay much heed to this Rapture nonsense - but I think people are supposed to leave their clothes behind when they get sucked into the sky.

The Rapture is not mentioned in the Bible.
IT is a completely man-made stuff for people to lazy to study the Bible, but for greedy men to take advantage in a popularity contest to tell sinful people what they like to hear! Phewww.....
It is complete baloney. The tenets of the Rapture even go against what the Bible says.
Get with MAN!!!!! Read the Bible yourself.
