New Christian...Just wondering, I keep seeing all these programs on T.V. and stories on the news about the end of the world being very near, and they say that the things that have been happening in the world right now are signaling the 2nd coming of Christ...What are the signs, and do you believe it is really happening. Is it all really in the bible, all these things that are happening?

Jesus said that we would know when the end is near. People have been saying that the end is near for a long time but all of the conditions haven't existed all at the same time before. The number one sign of the end time is the leafing of the fig tree which is the formation of the state of Israel. There are wars and rumors of wars, freaky weather patterns, the earth is shuddering as the number of violent earthquakes and volcanoes erupting increases, people are talking about the mark of the beast and have been conditioned to accept it by the powers that are rising up to make war with Jesus Christ when he returns. All of the things that are happening now to signal his return are in the bible, in Matthew 24 and Revelation 13 to name two places.
The reason that the Lord Jesus Christ hasn't come back before now is to give people time to repent and to receive him as their savior.

It is true! It is very near and it will happen very soon even though many people don't believe it will come in their lifetime. But it has to happen in someone's life time, and it will, there are many parts of the sign of Jesus presence that are all there and have been for some time now the first part of the sign was the 1st World War followin are the scriptures that talk about things that would be going on in the last days have a look at them and look around to see if you can see any of those things happening around us I think you will because they are happening!

Christ said in Matthew 24:14 " and This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. " Its interesting that thru internet and TV The Gospel of Christ is being preached to all the nations like Christ said needed to happen. Christ may come today. Read Luke chapter 21 verse 7 thru 19 there is a lot of great info there. Congrats on becoming a new Christian. Pray to God that He reveal His word to you and answer your question directly thru His word not thru TV Shows. TV is great but you can get mixed information. Better to just read the Bible when you are a baby Christian. The Bible is full of End time prophesies. The answers to any question you have you can find in Gods Word. A good concordance (Like Strong's Strongest) is a very helpful tool especially if you are doing a topical study.
We don't know the exact day or hour you are just to be ready. Being in the Word, developing a close relationship with Jesus and seeking Gods will is the best way to understand what is happening.

Yes, it is all true and it is happening before our very eyes. No one knows the date or time as Christ could return tonight or many years from now.
One need only take a look at the world around them and they can plainly see the end is not far off. One-world government, one-world religion, One-world economy, buying and selling with a microchip implanted in the hand, etc, these are all events that are real...not sci-fi, but reality and will occur towards the end of days. Look at Europe, the US...Look at the world and you will see. That is why we should pray to God without ceasing. The signs are all around and very clear to someone who is not blind.

It says in the Bible that God will come as a thief in the night. No man knows what time. I am a Christian, but people have predicting the last days since the time of Jesus Crucifixion. It will happen when it happens so don't sit on a mountain looking up.

Yes many of the things that are occuring today are mentioned in the book of Revelation.
But if you have accepted Christ as your Savior.... dont let them scare you... he says ... fear not these things must come to pass... the beginging of sorrows.
Read Revelation..... then you wont be suprised by what you see happening.
