Windows XP won't cancel or end program?

Most annoying thing about XP. I have to sut dow my PC manually

winxp has a problem with memory usage. Your virtual memory cache is too low which causes the system to run slow at times and it wont shut down. eventually one day you'll have a beautiful blue screen. Go to settings>control panel>system>>click on the advanced tab>performance--settings>your pagefile system memory should be over 1450. You can manually adjust from here. Be warned you can really mess up your system also.

Check the list of programs that are running in task manager. Some program might be the culprit. Find it and uninstall that..and all shall be fine from then
