As soon as we realize that we donate trillions of dollars to the Middle East so that we can have 2 little pleasures. 1..to have a really fast car that may go twice the legal speed. 2... to not have to stop every 100km to refill with cheap hydrogen produced locally from solar power.
Once we realize these facts, not only will we arrive at our destiny alive, refreshed and with money in our pocket, but we will also stimulate growth in all the remote little towns

Its starting. My sis-in-law drives a hybrid now, and my kids all say that they will buy hybrids the next time they upgrade. Me, I use the bus.

hybrids: probably not going to happen.
Alt fuel: when we run out of oil, big oil businesses spend a lot of money to keep america dependant on gas, so whenever it runs out, then we'll shift.
