One thing I have been pondering, the existence of the Silk Highway running through the Middle East approximately 400 years before Jesus. I have to ask myself aren't ideas sometimes as valuable as goods for trade? And then there was also a Macedonian king with a thirst for knowledge and war who decided to take a step off the edge of the known world. Alexander could have laid his hands on a copy, A trade caravan out of China could have been carrying a copy. But I think that Jesus quite possibly could have gotten his hands on a copy of the Analects of Confucius. There is that gap of 18 years that we do not know what he did. In a comparative he could have been even preaching Buddhaism ballanced with the times in Isreal.

Firstly, Muhammad claimed to have received the Qur'an direct from God via the angel Gibriel (Gabriel) so you either believe that or you don't. There are traditions about Jesus in Islam. They accept Mary was a virgin but reject that Jesus is God (they would say God put him in Mary like he put Adam on the earth). Muhammad was a well respected trader based around the city of Mecca before he was a preacher so he was more like a respected and pious trader in the city than a preacher in the desert when he started out.

There are three views of Jesus' death to consider. Christians think he died, then appeared to some of his followers and finally ascended to heaven and that he is due to return.

Most knowledgeable Muslims think he ascended to heaven directly, didn't die, his death was an illusion and that he is due to return.

Jews think he simply died.

To get an objective answer you will need to ask someone who truly understands both religions and can tell you the history of each. Lots of luck getting that here. My knowledge of Islam is rather limited and I am a bit bias, so not a good person to answer.

this can be a littile confusing for christians. jesus was actually not the one who said he was the son of god. ppl assumed that after he died. (as muslims we beleive he didnt die and will come back) the bible was written after he died. so the bible kept changing therefore we are unfortunately unable to seperate whats true and whats not in the bible. when muhammad delivered his message he delivered the words of god straight from allah. as you can see the quraan is in point of view from god however the bible is full of stories that ppl thought they heard jesus say or tell. when god sent muhammad the message - god knew the state the christians were in (lead astray thinking that jesus - a man was god), and the jews he actually states m,any times and directs to christians and jews - pointing out false beleifs and telling them that this is now the accurate and true religion. muhammad didnt decide to change anything he was an illiterate man and memorized gods words and then told them to ppl who could write. how could muhammad an unlearned man think of all the science that no one knew at the time. in the quraan there are so many prophecies and miracles - descriptions of how embryo develops, stars, moons planets, solar system etc.

I definetly will not tell you to read the koran as I am a born again Christian, but I will turn you onto a website. When you get to it, click on "fake religions" and it will tell you all about it and show you some very illustrated pictures.

Mohammad was insane. He was false, and he was also a murderer. Islam is false, and the people that follow the religion are being deceived.

Ok I tell you in a layman terms..when Jesus was sent to earth to preach religion he is so kind and die for his followers as the christian claims. He got tortured and crucified so GOD get angry and send Muhammad to teach all this buggers a lesson for crucifying so called Jesus. So spare the rod and spoil the child, that is his policy!!! understand!!!!!
