I get along with him on a mental level, but there just ain't nothin there physically, I thought maybe it would come with time, but nothing. I don't want to hurt his feelings. Guys? Any input? Do I lie?

I think there are ways to break it off without having to say that you aren't physically attracted to him. Say you just don't feel the chemistry or something...but do not say he's not attractive...that could really crush a guy.
You've got to put as positive a spin on this as possible. However, don't over-flatter him because you don't want him to think you're shallow and are solely dumping him because of looks.
As I said before, I think the best bet is to say "the chemistry just isn't there between us." And leave it at that. If he wants more of an explanation just tell him he's a nice guy but you get more of a friend vibe from him.

it never works. I've tried that before. are there any other reasons why you would want to break up with him? tell him that your feelings for him aren't strong enough as you thought they were. And you don't feel like there is any potential in the relationship and that you don't want to keep leading him on. just keep it lighthearted.

Break it off! Always be nice, because if you're mean to him, he'll come back. Just tell him you're not interested, but he's a great guy. I rather be friends :]

Break it off - Tell him things just aren't working out...This one may be better to hide the truth from him. No need to destroy his confidence so he will be anxious about aproaching another girl in the future.
Either way, you need to break it off to be fair to yourself as well as him.

well if ur in love with him physical attraction shouldnt matter so if u plan on stayin with i dont think i would mention it but if u plan on breakin up with still i dont think i would mention it because it will just lower his self esteem even more

you don't have to exactly say "dude, u'r ugly" just tell him you don't have feelings for him or you feel like your related to him or somthing.
