True. The good and godly are afflicted.
With trials and tears we grow stronger in Faith, with Faith we move closer to God,with God we can do all things .
But one thing is guarenteed . The real PEACE and JOY in their hearts .

Well, I believe it is because there is not one imam, rabbai, priest or preacher who will preach to the similarities of the main religions. Instead using the good books as legal documents in order to further the cause of worldly ambitions. Using their approach toward the idea of God as a hammer to drive their failing points home. Continually working towards that end jihadists call the mother of all battles, crusaders call Armegeddon. All the while knowing that there was also another idea taught. Another and better outcome.

The bible says we must through much tribulation enter the kingdom of heaven. It also says that whom the Father loveth he chasteneth. Yes, that's the King James english. I'm just making a point. The truth is our lives are not our own so if everything is going the way we want it to then maybe we're not going in the right direction.

Remember in Revelation where it says that Satan and the demons have been cast down to the earth and it says, "Woe to the earth". Well, that is the reason. Recognize the enemy and encourage one another to remain faithful to God. Soon, Armegeddon will cleanse the earth of all the wicked.

Religous answer:
Because they see the state of the people around them, the non-believers, and weep.
Other:
Cause God is a creation of the human mind and when you realize for yourself that you're striving to be perfect in the eyes of a being that does not exist.. and you wasted your life doing just that...
I think you'd be pretty bummed too.

We live in a screwed up existence. We have no purpose but what we make of it. All spiritual solutions contradict worldly knowledge. No one knows what will happen when we die. Some people can't handle these things, and I don't blame them...

Consequences of sin- and not necessarily their own. Bad things happen to good people because there are bad people out there. God doesn't promise to stop the bad, He only said he would help us cope.
