Mormons weren't around in the 7th century silly. Muhamad sought to convert more pagans than Jews because they already had accepted the one God (even if there religion was primitive). He got along well with the Jews and Christians but was firm against lies. Often, the Jewish conspirators who sought to kill him were dispelled through faithful, kind Jewish people who helped to protect the Prophet even if they didn't believe fully in him. Peace.

In original Islam, they believed christians and Jews were "People of the book". Back then they even recognized women's rights! Nowadays extremists have distorted Islam and have replaced those beliefs with older ones from other religions like older animisms.
