I have and would again. I once parked my truck between a shooter and his victim. Rather close to the shooter. really close.

Actually that s a really good question. Most people wouldn't because of the diffusion of responsibility. They figure somebody will help so that don't feel as though they need to step up the plate. Like a group of people standing around shocked while a person was choking. It's screwed up but its a fact.
Would i help? Probably not... I'm more a pick up the peices after the fact sort of person.

If somebody was freezing to death and needed to be gotten to somewhere warm and treated for hypothermia. If somebody was falling over and acting weird because the were in diabetic collapse but everybody around thought they were just drunk.
People with cut and broken bones from accidents.
Yes, I guess I do stop to help. I have never seen a car jacking except to change a tire. Robberies have usually happened just before I got there.

Yes, unless it put the person in greater danger.
Most carjackings simply go for the car, and the person is left on the curb.
If someone were getting robbed, I'd yell first to get them to stop, and shout, "The Police are on their way!!"
I don't carry a weapon, and I don't condone anyone else doing so either.
Luckily, in the US street crime has dropped massively in the past 20 year.

I like to think I would, and I have done some interventions that later I wondered at (one time I broke up a fight between two drunk adults in a public building with this deeply authoritative yell that shocked even me). I'm not sure though-- if they had weapons, would I? I think I might say something, and I would certainly pray and try to find help right away...
God bless!

Probably...a few years ago my mom and I saw a woman walking her very small dog...then all of a sudden two big Rottweilers came running from across the street to attack the woman and her dog...we stopped and helped the woman until the owner of the Rotts came and got them...VERY SCARY !! But the good thing was the woman and her little dog were OK.

If I thought I could do so without getting killed, definately. Even a small amount of personal harm could be risked to save someone else a worse fate. Though I am sure alot of people will say yes, but prob only 50% of them would react the same when push came to shove.

Depends on the level of danger that I would be putting myself in to help.
For example, do I see the things going on and I have my children in the car with me or any where near by????? I probably would not stop to help.
Is it dark when these things are going on????? If so, I would probably not stop to help.
So the list goes on, if there would not be added danger for me, then yes I would do all possible to descalate the matter.

There are too many variables to answer that question.
If it was a woman or child involved, I'd almost certainly help, as they are much less likely to be able to physically defend themselves.
If it was a man, it would depend on the crime on if I would help or not. I'd consider the risk to myself, and the potential dangers to the victim, and if anything I'd help indirectly by getting help.

Yeah. Even if the guy had a gun it's most likely either unloaded or the attacker has no intention of using it. It's just a scare tactic. At the very least I'd call 911.

yeah I would! I'd call 911 the instant I knew what was happening. Why? Because if not me, who? People tend to transfer responsibility, saying oh, I won't do anything because someone's bound to stop. aaaaaaand that doesn't often happen. I feel like if there's something happening, someone should call it in AT LEAST, and personally help if possible and realistic. And I'm willing, and I want, to do that ^_^
