Finding a suitable and effectual hair loss medication for male pattern baldness can be a tough task. Male pattern baldness can be understood as hair loss in men sourced due to the action DHT. DHT weakens the hair follicles, thus impeding the hair growth. Male pattern baldness is medically referred as androgenetic alopecia. Hair loss in men begins with a receding hairline that slowly develops over the apex of the scalp. This hair loss is termed androgenetic alopecia since the male hormones (androgens) and genetic factors (hereditary) that decide the loss of hair. In this way hair loss takes a more visible shape if not dealt with properly. If you are one of those victimized by male pattern baldness, then Propecia is an apt solution for you.

What is Propecia? Propecia is developed by Merck and Company, Inc. Propecia is basically the brand name of the drug finasteride, also saleable as proscar. Propecia is the first pill endorsed by the FDA for treatment of male pattern baldness or hair loss on the apex of the scalp and mid-scalp regions. Propecia was initially formulated for treatment of an enlarged prostate condition referred as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Propecia works on the mechanism of inhibiting the enzyme 5 alpha reductase (which transforms testosterone into DHT). This in turn reduces the levels of DHT present in the body. This stabilizes hair growth and overturns hair loss. The benefit of Propecia is that it selectively aims the suitable hormone without causing detrimental alterations in other hormones.

In accordance to clinical tests Propecia is very well tolerated. Incase you experience any side effects as a result of usage of Propecia, discontinue it and ask for immediate medical assistance. Shelve Propecia in a firmly closed container at room temperature away from moisture, heat, and children.

Let your doctor know before-hand that you are taking Propecia if you are in either of the following conditions:

• Blood test for PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen), as usage of Propecia will modify the results.
• Liver disease, as you may require a lower dose or exceptional supervision during treatment.

I had the same problem as you two years ago, I say invest in a good hair straightener

www.folica.com

I got a solia, and ive been straighting my hair almost everyday for two years now and It doesnt get frizzy or damaged.

So for right now I say buy a good hair mask, or a hot oil treatment , ive microwaved olive oil, and poured it on my hair (make sure its not too hot) and then put it in a bun and then a shower cap and it helped a lot.
Get a trim for the split ends, use a good conditioner and shampoo, and a leave in conditioning treatment

Ok being 100% honest w/you heat will dmamge the **** out of your hair no matter who u are, there a thousands of products out there for heat damage, I cannot recommend a product b/c i can't see your hair, just walk into a salon and talk with an honest beuatician not one that tries to get you in ther seat to get your money, ok? I do recommend that you get a conditioning treatmeant at least once a month to help restore moisture, oh it also matters were you live..dry area, humid area, etc.. that also effects your hair, there are so many factors, including any perm damage, color damage, it goes beyond just applying heat, it's also the history of your hair. i hope this helps?:)

aussie or sunsilk both work like magic, get your split ends trimmed up and use either one of these products and within a few weeks your hair will be restored! Layering your hair can keep the split ends to a minimum and use a straighting gel or conditioner instead of a straightner!!

First, cut a cut to trim your split ends
If you straighten your hair every day, the heat damages it - there are products that protect your hair from heat damage, or restore it
TryJohn Frieda's Rebuild Restructuring Micro-Oil Therapy (for brunettes, there are similar ones for blondes and redheads)

Or use a restoring product like Biolage's Fortifying Heat Styler that protects against heat damage - http://www.matrix.com/products/biolage/fortetherapie.aspx

First stop straightening your hair every day. Limit your use of the heated hair appliances. You will have to remove the damage ends, and use a deep conditioner.

Protein. is the only way to restore hair. Stop using your flat iron every day. skip a day or two. R u using a spray oil in your hair right before you flatiron? You should. Protein is very dangerous. It should only be used for 5 min and NO longer. every other month.
