I know I have struggled with all of the above at different times in my life. But I would like to know the differences? Thank you and God bless you.

Hmm, resentment and bitterness is a toughie. I would say that the difference between resentment and bitterness is that resentment is specific -- it's direct at a person or action. Bitterness is a vague feeling of resentment toward life in general.

Hate, on the other hand, is a feeling of concentrated anger due to powerlessness directed at a specific person or group of people, probably due to a litany of encounters or grievances.

They are all hate in varying degrees. Hate turns to resentment which in turn becomes deeply-seeded bitterness. Better to turn from hate before it has a chance to take root and grow into bitterness. Hate can be dealt with; it is bitterness that will haunt you.

Resentment is not of a christian since he/she are call to forgive always. Bitterness on the other hand, will go away by itself with prayer, and it does not necessary means that you are holding anything against anybody.

I would also add that anger is usually a short lived response to someone else's action, and it can be related to all sorts of emotions. If you see someone you love doing something dangerous, you may feel angry at them for causing you fear. But once the crisis resolves, the true emotions can revert back to normal. Hate is a very destructive emotion that can become consuming and affect the rest of your life. People spend years hating something/someone and it can harm their mental and physical well-being. To truly hate something is something you have to feed and allow to happen. Anger is more of an automatic response.

Bitterness arises when someone has had repeated wrongs against them. Someone who's been wronged by too many boyfriends becomes bitter.

Resentment arises when someone feels they are asked to do more than their fair share. If your boyfriend expected you to always pick him up from work, you may become resentful.

Hate is a strong emotion of revulsion, often paired with anger. If you finally get fed up with your boyfriend's shenanigans, you may grow to hate him.

All of them are strong negative emotions that suggest you are not doing a good job of taking care of yourself.

hate is when you truely despise someone or something......resentment is when you are jealous or feel something is untrue against you lol, and bitterness is when you gave up hope for happiness.
