I'm wondering since i believe God does give spiritual gifts how do you tell a gift is from God. Does God always tell when He gives special gifts. To unbelievers it may seem just like psychic? How do you tell?
And if it's indeed psychic why can't the occurence be controlled?

Oh so every psychic occurence is random? Psychic can't controlled their ability? Well that's no ability then. I have that exactly.
As how to prove it. I have at least two chances where i actually spoke of it and two people remembered(so many i kept in my hearts).
I would like to think it is from God. But i'm afraid if it is actually not.
I'm not going to join any occult and train this 'ability' that's for sure :) . I'm raised as Catholics and intend it to be that way. Jesus is my God, have seen Him once when i was a kid, shining so bright white....
My beliefs on this:
I believe it's not gift at all but rather a form of communication...a kind of communication that gets into your soul so you'll know things like they appear from nowhere but you know it for sure. Sometimes(though very rarely) the knowledge is that of something which has not happened yet).
Hoping it's the spirit of God rather anything else. Am i making myself sensible here? Bottom line: our soul/heart can know much more

Now just think about this for a minute. All gifts are from God. If you are psychic is that not also from God? The gifts of the spirit are many and varied and no one has each one. If you had the gift of music, that too is from God. All the abilities that you have are from God. As to a "psychic" gift, it can not be controlled. It just comes when it needs too. It could be intuition and that is something different that many of us have. Your subconscious mind takes in everything. When there is important information to convey to you your subconscious will tug at your mind a bit and a thought will come to you. That seems like a "psychic" thing, but it is your intuition. That too is a gift from God and some of us have it more than others.

What's the difference? If God made you and you're psychic then obviously God made you psychic. Right?
The real question is are you really psychic? How do you know? Can you prove it? If you can prove it you're the first person to do it. The very best so-called psychics have track records equivalent to random chance. Do a little homework if you don't believe that and see what you can actually prove.

If the gifts is used to glorify God and it comes from His list, which is given in the Bible, it is a spiritual gift. The act of psychics are of the devil. The Bible clearly says to leave those works alone, for it is a tool to deceive you and others; which is of the occult.

If it's from God it will have a two or more confirmations. It will be in the word of God and in the Spirit of God. Psychic gifts have nothing to back them up in God's word. And they are a counterfeit . Satan likes to pretend to be God and one of his ways is to deceive people by imitating the gifts.

PSYCHIC can see and interprete the situations plainly normal to this world but the BELIEVERS with the gift of GOD can understand the words/messages coming from GOD and can even understand the events taking place in our world.IT surpasses the wisdom of this world.

You may have a familiar spirit, a demon. It may have come through a generational line, that is, someone in a previous generation dabbled in the curious arts, picked up a demon, bringing it into the family line. Well the Bible tell us to test the spirits and that we will know them by their fruits. The best thing that you (we) can do is to pray for spiritual discernment so that we can test and see what is from God and what is not.
