Could you "hypothetically" upgrade to Adobe CS2 from a "back up" copy of CS?

"hypothetically" >.... the "back up" copy would have to have been registered, with a unique registry code, so it doesn't flag that there are more than one registration with the code ... and then yes, for the upgrade price ...
