3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

Very much. If this happened during normal resting time yes.
Normally it sould be about 60-72 bpm and blood pressure of 110-120/70-80. Your heart is beating too fast. Could you be overweight ? If yes, try to slim down.

But foremost, meet a cardiac surgeon to find out why it is so high and take some tabs to reduce this now.

that is a very high resting heart rate. there is usually an underlying problem to that, so yes i would go get it checked out. your blood pressure isn't an issue right now because an elevated heart rate can cause high blood pressure. so treat the heart rate and that'll hopefully correct the blood pressure.

lots of things can cause a high resting heart rate including drugs and some disease conditions like hyperthyroidism.

It appears that you are of a nervous, anxious an quite irritable personality.

This may be

1. a normal inheritted and innocent phenomenon that may be self limiting
or
2. there may be some underlying causes like a hyper active thyroid gland (situated in the neck)

You need a full clinical examination by your Doctor who will surely rocommend the appropriate tests. In the light of these he will decide upon the best course of treatment, if the condition does necessitate one.

It depends. Where did you test? At one of those drug store machines? Those can be unreliable, and your numbers can vary from sitting to sitting. Also, what did you do before you tested? Eat a heavy meal? Run? All these things can affect your numbers.

Still, that is pretty high, so if you get that result consistently, I would see a doctor.

You better believe it. The pressure, particularly the systolic, is way too high for someone your age. You should contact a physician immediately. Aside: how is your weight? If you are significantly overweight, you need to go on a diet.

your heart rate should be much lower, and the top number of your BP is much too high. Ask your primary care physician to refer you to a cardiologist for a thorough exam
