Yes it's very possible and quite common. There are people of all weights in treatment for these eating disorders. Sometimes the obesity is caused by the binge behavior and then after becoming obese they begin purging, other times the obesity was there and the bulimia started as a way to cope with the obesity. Binge behavior can throw off your metabolism causing you to store fat.
It's all a vicious cycle. But bulimics can be obese, they often go undiagnosed because people don't see them at risk because they can't imagine that behavior is going on. It's not as obvious as an anorexic that starves themselves.

Yes. It is frequently obese girls who feel awful about their image that induce vomiting, purge themselves and try to loose weight in various harmful ways.The problem is that they actually consume more calories than they can get rid of and therefore they remain overweight.
