Hello,
It all depends on your personality. Are you open minded, Conservative or just in the middle?
If you are open minded I suggest you to just tell him straight, there is nothing wrong if a woman takes control of her feelings and desires. If you are Conservative just flirt a little so he gets the hint. but he might be shy and do nothing about it because he might be scared to be rejected. If you are in the middle a little beat of both will do.
Just be your self, don't be scared and let your feeling flow.

Just string him along for weeks and month without telling him how you feel until one or both of you fall for someone else. Wait your life isn't a sitcom... just tell him or let one of his friends know but know also you might be ruining your friendship with him, assuming you are friends now.

Try to be interested in things he do and say. Eye contact...well...and be urself...he should be able to get the idea then...
