Does anybody have any suggestions on where to find parts, performance and stock, for a 72 Lincoln Continental? It is a 460 w/ a C6 transmission.
Performance improvement ideas would be nice too!
Thanks alot!

72 is a one year production on alot of parts, so other years parts won't work.

I have listed 2 sites for parts, the first having a classified section, and the other being a parts supplier for old Lincoln parts, but the latter is pricey. Lincolns aren't often known for performance - if you want that, get a Mustang or a Cougar, although the best way to get more power out of the low compression 1972 engine is to have it professionally rebuilt to high performance specs. I was quoted about $2500 for my 76 Ford 400, so expect something in that price range for your 460. I have found that there are still some junkyards with parts for these, although head south if you need body parts. Ebay sometimes turns up some things as well.

You could try Summit racing supply in Akron, Ohio. They may be on the web. They should have performance parts for the 460 engine. You could also buy a J.C. Whitney catalog. They have a lot of New old stock parts. You will have to look. You may be able to get a free catalog by looking on line for www.jcwhitney.com . Good Luck

Call a junk yard and ask they have cross reference info on most vehicles.
