So a decent looking successful guy asked me if I wanted to go play golf with him next weekend. We've small talked before at friends' parties but I don't know if he's interested in me. Is golfing considered a date? Guys out there what's your take on it? I haven't decided whether to accept.

BTW, I do play alittle but not in awhile. I also took it as a kines credit in college. I'm 22 so maybe I should expect outings like this as I get "in the real world".

If it has been determined during conversation that you both enjoy golf, then it may be regarded as a date. Certainly, he doesn' t dislike you or he would not have invited you to play. If the golf continues into dinner, thats DEFINITELY a date. Good luck!

blech!! I wouldn't consider this a date. I would consider it an easy excuse for a guy to play golf. Honey, if you didn't mention to him that you loved playing golf, then I wouldn't go on the basis of a date.

Golf is probably something he's good at and comfortable doing. He's creating a suitable environment for himself to ask you out.

for me he wants to shoot and score...i mean come on is that a sensible date? unless you like golf...then maybe...but then again a guy asked me out to play billiards and he was showing me from my back how its done...and i thought it was as friends...i wasn't interested...maybe so...the second date will surely tell you...that is if it is a date. good luck

Don't act like it is because if it turns out not to be one it will make it awkward. The only way to tell is if he sort of starts to act like it is.
