Don't forget to get some excercise too.
That depends on how much you were drinking. I quit drinking 3 years ago. Because I drank excessively, often instead of eating, I ended up gaining quite a bit when I quit drinking. 30 pounds in 4 months. So you see, it's all relative, and depends on a lot of other factors.
I started working out at the end of December. I've lost 4 pounds. That's not bad though. Losing too much too quick is unhealthy, and you can get stretch marks losing rapidly.

Alcohol is crappy for a person's weight for two reasons.
1. Beer is full of carbs.
2. All alcohol makes you crave greasy junk food at all hours of the night or whatever hours you're drinking.

Hard liquor isn't so bad for the dieter, since it doesn't have the calories or carbs of beer. But you've got a lot longer to go to see weight come off. Think weeks, probably a few months.

Be patient and stay motivated. Write down your goals and monitor your progress. Don't forget aerobic exercise.

If you've been abusing alcohol you probably have some bloating which will go away quickly. You also will be reducing calories if you don't substitute chocolate or other comfort foods for the booze.

It will probably be very gradual. Make sure you're eating healthy and try to exercise a little bit to speed up results.

Not after 5 days unless you're fasting

Depends on the diet and exercise routine, not to mention what you were drinking, and how much. From the information you provided, anywhere from a week to never.
