No, actually it will help keep your weight on or actually make you gain weight. When you go so long without food (especially on a regular basis), it tricks your body into thinking that it's starving. When your body thinks it's going to starve, it slows down your metabolism. When that happens, your body doesn't burn as many calories as it normally would - which eventually will make you gain or stay at your current weight. According to the charts for a healthy weight for your height, you are only 5-10 pounds over where you should be at. Try cutting your food intake some, but eat small meals throughout the day. Keep up some exercise and you will get healthier and lose some weight - and your metabolism will stay up there where it needs to be.

First off, you are not over weight. If you like the way you look, it shouldn't matter what your mom says. Eating after 8pm helps you gain weight. It's better to eat 3-5 meals throughout the day. If you want to run as well that should be fine, but only if you are eating. If you run without eating, you will only get hungrier. Throwing up is the last thing you should do. This will only lead to more problems to your stomach, esophagus, throat, and teeth. Also, pills are very dangerous. People can actually die from diet pills. You would not want to do that. Overall, eating healthy and exercise is your best bet. Good luck!

Please listen to this answer very carefully!!

You should NOT try to eat nothing all day long until 8pm at night. THAT IS THE WORST THING YOU CAN DO.

Also you do not have a huge problem. The wieght and Height that you are at now is not bad at all. You are still young and growning into your body. Also DO NOT TRY TO THROW UP EITHER.

PLEASE.

If you want to try to lose a few pounds here are some suggestions...

1) remember that you are not that overweight so there is not need to go to extremes and try any crazy diets or anything.

2) Eat 4 or 5 small meals during the day. Starting with a healthy breakfast within 30 minutes of waking up to get your metabolism going. Eating 4 or 5 smaller meals during the day will keep your metabolism going and will help you to burn calories easier.

3) Exercising is good, but you do not need to go overboard with it. Try playing a sport on a school team or running if thats what you like to do but do not go crazy. 4 times a week for about an hour a time of physical activity is good especially to start.

4) Eat healthy. Lots of fruits and vegitables. Good carbs like whole grains and wheats. Pasta those types of things

Good luck but please realize that you are not Fat at all

No, your body need nutrients for energy, you will feel tired and sluggish, not to mention the fact that your body's metabolism naturally slows down at night, so what ever you eat at night will stay with you longer. And at 15, you should not be caught up in the rail thin looking size. Most of the time these girls are not healthy. Do not throw up, that can become habit forming and people have actually starved themselves to DEATH in an attempt to be skinny. Pills, not a good idea, too young, and they can be dangerous. Exercise and eat healthy fruits and veggies, drink lots of water, you'll be fine. Just be smart about it.

Try going running without eating and see how far you get.

If you need to lose weight, first thing to do is go to a doctor and find out exactly how much weight you need to lose. Then the doctor or a dietician can help you work out an eating and exercise plan that is age-appropriate, healthy, safe, effective, and do-able.

Honestly, what you're suggesting is just plain ridiculous. It's unhealthy, dangerous, and will have you looking and feeling like absolute crap within the first 24 hours. It's also a perfect way to develop an eating disorder.

You should eat small meals throughout the day. Instead of three big meals, that is. Skipping meals is horrible for you and, once you do get around to eating, you'll likely overeat. Worse, by skipping meals, you won't have the energy to excersize or go about your day. Spacing your meals will keep you satisified and, so long as you pick healthy, nutritious options AND excersize, the weight will come off.

I'm thinking that your mother is just a bit off base here. At 15, you still have baby fat on ya. It will come off eventually. Don't throw up, not good a idea at all. Running is a good exercise. You need to eat. If you don't eat your metabolism will slow down and you will not burn calories no matter what you do. And there is no reason to compare you and your sister. At 5'5", a good idea weight is 125. So you are great. No one wants teenage girls to look like Nicole Richie. Its not healthy for her, nor would it be for you. Good luck!!!!!!

*** what happens when u start doing that is your body goes into starvation mode and it actually starts trying to hang onto the excess weight by lowering your metabolism so not as many calories are burned throughout the day. you might lose a little weight but not nearly as much as if u start eating smaller, healthier portions, drinking water, and exercising.
