hi I have a Chinese name and I know that Japanese people have their names written in kanji so i was wondering what my name would be in Japanese. Thanks!

Oh hmm I didn't know that. So when they translate names from China, like Wu Jintao, it would sound somewhat similiar to that?
If I didn't tell you that it was a Chinese name, would it have made sense in Japanese (and thus be read differently) ?

haha well i know in chinese, the first character is basically like a sound effect for drums, like bang! The second one means 10 ^ 12 or some really big number. The third one does mean strange or peculiar but i think it can also be like miracle.

yeah lol it does. I used this online dictionary
http://ryouko.imsb.nrc.ca/cgi-bin/wwwjdic?1B
to find the definition and the kanji. However, I'm not sure if the definition they give is the Chinese one or Japanese one.
honestly, i was a bit dissappointed; I thought it'd be like one of those names that are really long like Mitsurugi or Fujiwara or something.

oh yeah with that dictionary, i looked up each character. The first one didn't have a kun'yomi but the other two do. however, I think I see a lot of different ways to pronounce them.
for example, here's the 3rd character.

I don't know how to read that or know if that is more than one reading but i'm just guessing.
I guess the reason why i thought they would translate it directly is because I think the Chinese do that whenever they have to translate something in Japanese, like Tokyo for example. In Chinese, it's like Dong Xing and doesn't sound like Tokyo at all.
