You can expect the confrontation in Iraq, Afghanistan, Israel, Palestine, Pakistan, and any other Middle Eastern country to continue forever as long as the U.S. deems it "their place" to intervene.

U.S. Government officials, and unfortunately, many people living in the U.S., have determined it is the "duty" of the United States to "save" every country, whether they want to be saved or not. The United States of America has proclaimed itself the "savior" of humanity, bent on exposing treachery, terrorism, and inhumanity. We, who allowed the holocaust, Rawanda, mass killings in Africa 50 years ago, unwilling to stand up for prisoners of war taken while fighting in Vietnam.

Americans like to "blame" their elected leaders; but, you elected them. Write them, tell them how you feel, let them know you are angry if you are. If you voted for them, and are satisfied, then you deserve what you get.
