I'm 25 years old and 5'5". I've had some pretty attractive girlfriends in the past, so it's not like I'm totally clueless about all this, but I thought I would ask random girls this question to do a survey of sorts. So to the girls out there: do you prefer guys who are tall in general, or just that the guy is taller than YOU? Oh and also, I live in the U.S., so answers from girls in the U.S. would be best, since these kinds of things often differ with different countries and cultures. Thanks in advance for answering!

probably most girls, myself included, prefer guys who are taller than them. but it's not a requirement, just a preference.

I think it would be embarrassing to date a guy shorter than me but then again I'm only short a woman seeks for a man to protect her and being shorter than her doesn't make her feel protected
with all that said my mother was taller than my father but he was a boxer too so maybe she felt protected by him in the end its up to you height isn't everything nor age when it comes to the crunch its love that you want not how tall or short someone is

I prefer taller than me, because it makes me feel more ladylike. Tallness in general is nice, but not a big issue. I dated a guy shorter than me once (5'2") and it didn't work very well. It was only an inch difference, but enough to be an issue to me.

I am 5'10". I usually prefer guys to be taller than me, but have often dated guys that were shorter than me (5'5" even). I think it really only matters about the guy and how you get along. If you get along well, you really don't notice the height difference.

The taller the better.....tall guys are usually always extremely hot....about 6'4" is best....but I have dated short guys too! I mean if the tall guy is a total jerk then I would definitely go for the shorter one.
